Ghostly Reminder

Time stood still as

The ghost appeared

Yet again in front of her

Saying nothing, not a sound

Just staring deep inside her soul

Searching for a sign

Of regret and remorse

for the life she took away

The life that hadn’t even begun

I apologise for the haunting image. I just thought it would bring even more meaning to the words.

      1. You are forgiven! You weren’t to know. As it happens, it was a great illustration for the poem. I’m distracting myself with happy thoughts, looking out at the unexpected sunshine and waiting for our mother and baby deer to show up 🙂
