Time to Sleep

As the bedtime story

reached its end

Her yawns became

more pronounced

Her eyelids drooped

It was time to sleep

Soon she was

deep in slumber

Her tiny chest

rising, falling

with every breath

She lay curled up tight

inside her mother’s

loving embrace

  1. ooooh…..so many many years ago, I sat in the rocking chair I’m looking at now, with my tiny babe asleep on my shoulder, nestled into me. There is just nothing like this wonderful peaceful calm feeling. Many thanks for the memory 🙂
