She’s her Hope

Day 6 (prompt): Street Called Mercy by Hillsong United

She clutches her hands to her chest

Closes her eyes and bows her head

She whispers a silent prayer inside

For everyone that do reside

In her mind, in her heart and in her thoughts

The ones she quietly loves the most

But now she whispers for herself

Desperately seeking for some strength

Strength to fight the things she’s fighting

Strength to come out of it winning

Whom to trust she does not know

Who to rely on she does not know

So she clings to herself for that support

Hoping she will not fall apart

For she places herself in her hope

The hope that will eventually help her cope
