Field of Light

As

the peaking sun

spills its rays

shining its glory

over the fields

awakening the blooms,

Faces turn towards

the light, rejoicing,

smiling, they are

with joyful eyes,

bristling with love

as wind blows

through the petals

they dance happily,

merrily, full of life

  1. After writing my piece about tragedy, and reading a number of other poems of tragic light, it was a refreshing breath of air to read, “as the peaking sun spills its rays”. A joyful and delightful poem.
